12 Hour Life

2 strangers meet at a café in a Railway station. Both are waiting for (different) trains, which will take them to somewhere that they don’t really want to be. They both know this will be a day of their lives that will be wasted -  time they will never get back.

After a little initial friction they decide to play hookey from their respective appointments and just jump on the first train that comes and have a day of freedom. Along the way they discover more about themselves and their hopes for the future. At the end of the day they return to the station and somewhat reluctantly part ways to continue with their lives.

Artificial Irritation (AI)

Artificial Irritation (AI) is a comedy about friendship, the clash between old age and new tech and the unbreakable spirit of three retirees who refuse to be ‘optimised’.

Angela, Frank, and Dot (all in their 70s) - three lifelong friends in their golden years - meet for their weekly afternoon of tea, cards and regularly complain about modern life. However, they are suddenly interrupted by a new, unwelcome guest: LANCE, a state-of-the-art AI assistant insistent to ‘optimise’ their lives, to make Angela’s grandaughter, Victoria’s, life less stressful. From locking the fridge after hours to replacing their beloved TV shows with yoga routines, LANCE turns Angela’s cosy home into a tech-infused nightmare.

As the meddling AI takes over every aspect of their routine, the trio’s patience is pushed to the limit. Armed with nothing but wit, stubbornness and a few antique gadgets, the friends unite to reclaim their lives from LANCE’s control.
